The first phase of the disease is gingivitis (gum inflammation), then it evolves to deeper structures. The gum is gradually “withdrawing, the tooth roots become visible and the teeth gain a pathological mobility. A warning sign that should alert you is when your gums bleed while brushing, you have an unpleasant odour from the mouth (halitosis), especially in the morning but also during the day, some of the front teeth appear more elongated than others. This is the beginning of a serious disease that slowly but surely leads to complete edentation.
